Howard University Graduate and Former Bison Football Player Leland Lassiter Receives Distinguished Reginald F. Lewis Prize

Leland Lassiter, a Baltimore native and graduate of Howard University’s College of Arts and Sciences, is the recipient of the 2018 Reginald F. Lewis prize, a monetary gift to the student who demonstrates the most improvement in his/her cumulative grade point average from their sophomore to senior year. Lassiter says he wasn’t expecting the news he received, last week as he prepared for Commencement.

Chadwick Boseman Commends Graduates on Making it to the Top of the Hilltop at Historic Howard University Commencement

Howard University alumnus and award-winning actor Chadwick Boseman spoke to graduates about the significance of making it to the top of the Hilltop during the Howard University 2018 Commencement Convocation.  In front of an audiences of more than 8,000 family and friends, Boseman encouraged the graduates to not only exceed in their next steps, but also strive to achieve their life’s purpose.
